Abstract

The existence of an effective system for occupational health and safety leads to preserving economic wealth from loss by detecting risks and the causes leading to them and taking preventive measures and precautions to prevent their occurrence. means of production) from spoilage and loss. This study seeks to identify the degree of availability of occupational health and safety standards in some civilian units in North Sinai Governorate from the point of view of the workers in those units, and to propose and present appropriate recommendations in light of the results that can be reached, from which the researcher hopes to increase the level of occupational health and safety standards in these units in North Sinai Governorate. The study concluded that there is a correlation between the availability of occupational safety and health systems, regulations and laws and the effectiveness of occupational safety and health procedures. These institutions also seek to provide laws and legislation that regulate work and take care of the security and safety of employees and try to reduce injuries, accidents and occupational diseases that confront workers. The study recommends that the regulatory institutions raise the level of qualification and training of the owners of industrial establishments in the field of occupational safety and health and raise their awareness of the importance of industrial establishments making daily, monthly and annual reports on accidents and injuries.
