EXPLORATING STUDY OF SOCIO-ECONOMIC IMPACTS OF THE TECHNOLOGICAL GAP ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF FISHING RESOURCES IN NORTH SINAI GOVERNORATE

Abstract

The study aimed to uncover the basic characteristics of fishermen and their relation to the level of technological gap in Lake Bardwell. The study also aimed to identify the problems faced by the Chinese and related to their practice of fishing activity in the lake and their proposals to overcome them. In addition to identifying the problems that limit the efficiency of the bodies concerned with the lake (management Lake Bardwell - fishermen associations). and proposals to overcome them. and researchers in the technological gap in Lake Bardwell. The questionnaire was based on the use a sample questionnaire for a sample of fishermen 177 respondents.The results of the study showed that the majority of the respondents are fishermen. and the illiteracy rate is high. The results of the statistical analysis showed a positive correlation between the level of the technology gap and the average monthly income. the trend toward innovation. The ownership of fishing equipment. the trend towards saving and investment. knowledge of public issues. exposure to media sources. fisherman's relationship with management and fishermen's associations. and accordingly nine quality programs were developed to promote the fishing resources of Lake Bardwell.
