ANALYSIS OF THE CURRENT SITUATION FOR RURAL HEALTH UNITS IN KAFR EL-SHEIKH GOVERNORATE USING FOUR DIMENSIONAL SWOT ANALYSIS

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the current situation of village health units in Kafr El-Sheikh governorate using the SWOT method, through which the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to rural health units can be identified, which represent both the internal environment and the external environment of the village health unit. The research was carried out in Kafr El-Sheikh governorate, which was located within the governorates of the third level in terms of human development. The number of respondents was 69 respondents, representing the comprehensive research and sample. The sample was considered a comprehensive sample. The data were collected by personal interview using questionnaire form during January and February 2018, Use of frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean and percentage of average to rank strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. The research reached several results, the most important of which were the following: The average percentage of the total strength points was 59.13%. The strongest strengths were the cooperation of the parents with the unit in completing its tasks at a medium level of 2.95 degrees, the least being the unit readiness to perform small operations with a medium degree of 0.34 degrees. The average percentage of the weak points was 76.97%. The least of which was a 39-degree lack of clarity of regulations. The average percentage of the total points of opportunity was 73.79%. Most of them were in the village to purchase the equipment and equipment at an average of 96.61%, 49 degrees. The average percentage of the total number of threat points (the violator) was 66.11%. The most common were the lack of medical equipment and equipment in most health units with a mean of 2.71 degrees, 1.29 degrees.
